Beginnings of

our guest house

For many generations today's Winneburger Hof is family owned. In 1965 Robert and Rita Andre, the parents of the present owner, married and took over the parental wine estate. Two years later the hospitality business started – at first with just two rooms.

In the year 1974 the young couple dared a first expansion of the winery by the construction of a new wine cellar and farm building. Another enlargement with new apartments and guest rooms took place in 1979.

10 years later, Rita and Robert Andre set up a cozy wine tavern on the ground floor of the house, where house guests and other vacationers had the possibility to enjoy the self produced wines.

After serious illness in the 90s and death of Robert Andre in 2003, the winery ceased operations. Rita Andre now took the lead alone and all guest rooms were changed to holiday flats. Sustainable renovations always ensured that the guest house was kept at a high level. Many regulars appreciate it until today.
